The Secret Society is a gloomy rock band formed in Curitiba in 2017 by Guto Diaz (bass and vocals), Fabiano Cavassin (guitars) and Orlandinho Custódio (drums), with influences ranging from Hard Rock and Goth Metal to Post Punk and Death Rock.
In the beginning of 2018 they released their first studio recordings, the singles “Fields Of Glass”, “The Architecture Of Melancholy” and “Deciduous (Les Feuilles Mortes)”, an official music video for “The Architecture Of Melancholy” and one lyric video for “Fields Of Glass”. The band spent most of the year doing promotional concerts, playing in a lot of festivals, finishing the year opening for guitarrist Uli John Roth (Scorpions).
In 2019 they kept doing lots of concerts and festival appearances, sharing the stage with acts like Dee Snider, Shaman and Angra. At the same time producing and recording their debut album.
Recorded between May and August, the album entitled “Rites of Fire” was released in October on all digital platforms, along with a music video for the track “Rubicon”. The album received excellent reviews by the rock media, followed by a series of concerts in Brazil, Bolívia and México, where they shared the stage with Europe and Deathstars, and also were the opening act on the entire The Sisters Of Mercy Latin American tour.
At the end of 2019, The Secret Society participated in the new feature film by horror brazilian filmmaker Marcos DeBrito, “As Almas que Dançam no Escuro”. They´ll appear in a scene playing the track “The Architecture Of Melancholy”. The film is scheduled for release in the second semester of 2020.
They started the year with the release of a new single “A New Day”, released January 1st 2020, the track was recorded during the “Rites Of Fire” sessions.
Right now The Secret Society is continually working on new material for their follow-up album to “Rites of Fire”.
